Delegates

OEA-R Delegates from NEOEA

The Ohio Education Association’s Division of Retired (OEA-Retired) is allocated a total of 46 delegates to the 2018-2019 OEA Representative Assemblies.

The eighteen OEA-R Members serving on the OEA Advisory Council are delegates by virtue of office. Twenty-eight delegates are elected at-large statewide.  Download A Declaration of Candidacy form at http://oea-r.ohea.us/page/election-information/

OEA-R Delegates are elected in October and attend the Spring and Fall Representative Assemblies of OEA and also attend the OEA-R Delegate Assembly on the day prior to each OEA RA.  OEA-R Delegates from NEOEA also attend the Spring and Fall Representative Assemblies of NEOEA.

The 2018-2019 OEA Representative Assemblies will be held in Columbus OH on December 1 and May 10-11 with OEA-R Delegate Caucus on November 30 and May 9. The 2018-2019 NEOEA Representative Assemblies will be held on November 10 at Brookside HS, Sheffield Lake and on April 13 at bedford High School.

The 2017 NEA Representative Assembly will be held in Boston, MA on July 4 – July 7.

NEA-R Delegate elections will be conducted durring the month of March 2017.  Of the 30 candidates for NEA-R Delegate, nine (9) are from NEOEA (in order of appearance on the profile document): Marti Franks, Twinsburg EA-R;  Donna Smoot Walters, Barberton EA-R;  Nancy Wonson, Lakewood TA-R;  Barbara Catalano, Mayfield EA-R;  Homer O.
